The contemporary design responds to its setting and context, with expressed and fully glazed gables orientated to the views of the open countryside and across the valley. The house steps down the steep site, effectively two storey to the approach elevatian and then three storeys to the garden facing the views. Walls are to be finished in locally source natural stone with dressed stone detailing. The steep roofs will be finished in natural slate with expressed leadwork detailing. The house will feature cutting edge technology and environmental features and far exceed the norm, The walls, roof and floors will be super-insulated, windows will be triple glazed and the heating will include ground source and heat recovery systems.
